Now I Know What You're Thinkin'

You're thinkin', "Great, Tony up and left 2-BR to die again after he just promised to keep the place updated."

Now, keep in mind that I didn't intentionally up and leave this place because of burnout or any stupid thing like that, it's because for the first time in years, I've actually regained a measure of videogame addiction.  I'm playing four or five epic games at a time, and not putting them down, and not wanting to play little stuff that's easy to play and beat until I've mastered these 50+ hour games.  As far as a couple games are concerned, if I'm not playing them for the main game, it's for the online material, which can get even more ridiculous.

One of the games I've actually gotten around to finishing has been Fallout 3 for the PS3, and I'm currently writing a review about that, as well as finishing up what I intended to be the January article, but if this place is gonna live, I gotta stop playing the epics for just a little bit each day so I can play something easier to finish, review it, and give this place some material.

In any case, thanks again for the patience, as always, it's been a while, and I fully intend to keep 2-BR alive.

December Update

This December, and partway into January, it would seem I have two weeks off of work, if the automotive industry decides to play its cards right, I may very well have three.  I know I said that I'd probably spend Thanksgiving break playing lots of games to review them in the upcoming weeks.  Well, turns out I was more inclined to just relax.  With a two week vacation, I've got plenty of time to kick back, relax, and play a ton to review a ton.

For now, though, I still have a couple things newly added to the site, including a Nintendo DS review for Super Dodgeball Brawlers, and a December article up.  This month, I did my best to chronicle the events of a man most every videogamer has loved to hate: Jack Thompson.  However, it's not the article you think it is, but I guarantee it's definitely worth the reading, so give it a look, I'm sure you'll be pleased with what I have to say on the subject (outside of chronicling said events).

So keep it real, take it easy, and tune in next week to see (I hope to God) another brand new review!

Keep It Going

I missed the mark last week, but today, I've made up for it, I got my weekly review quota caught up, as well as a bonus article for the month of November, which is me contemplating why a review I found for Super Mario Bros. considered it a game made for "hardcore gamers", how the age gap is probably responsible for that, as well as an attempt to figure out if Super Mario Bros. was released at the right time to actually be the first hardcore/casual divisive game.  So there you have it, two reviews, a bonus article, and I'll do my best to get one more review out for THIS weekend, as well.  Thanksgiving week?  Perfect time to build up on reviews, so I'm not missing my own deadlines.
